Futurescholé's LiveKlass Achieves Significant Growth with Over $36 Million in Annual Transactions

View Original Korean Context

Futurescholé, a leading knowledge business startup, has announced a remarkable achievement for its platform, Futurescholé LiveKlass, with annual transactions surpassing 48.2 billion won (approximately $36 million) as of 2025. This represents a sixfold increase compared to 2023 figures, reflecting the accelerating shift towards Direct to Consumer (D2C) business models among knowledge creators.

According to Futurescholé, LiveKlass's annual Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) skyrocketed from 7.6 billion won in 2023 to 23.6 billion won in 2024, marking a 210% increase, and continued to double by 2025. This growth is indicative of knowledge creators increasingly moving away from dependency on external platforms, instead opting to design, sell, and manage their content directly through their own channels using the D2C approach.

LiveKlass provides a comprehensive solution allowing creators to establish their channels without needing separate development resources. The platform supports a wide range of knowledge products including lectures, videos, e-books, and challenges. By integrating payment systems, student management, community operations, and automated marketing features, LiveKlass enhances operational efficiency across the knowledge business spectrum.

Creators using LiveKlass have developed tiered product structures, transitioning from free content to low-cost items and eventually to mid-to-high-priced programs, thereby boosting profitability. This model facilitates long-term engagement with learners, fostering repeat purchases and establishing a sustainable business model.

The platform is utilized by a diverse array of creators, from the weight loss home training YouTuber 'VitaminShinji' with 1.3 million subscribers, to creators in fields such as jobs, study, money, and lifestyle. Even smaller creators with around 10,000 subscribers are reporting monthly revenues in the tens of millions of won, reducing reliance on star creators and creating a more balanced ecosystem. Futurescholé's 'LiveKlass Rocket Launching' program is also gaining traction to support new creators.

Shin Chul-heon, CEO of Futurescholé, commented, "The knowledge business market is transitioning from being centered around leading creators to a stage where operations are becoming more sophisticated and widespread. LiveKlass will continue to play a vital role in establishing realistic business structures for knowledge creators."

Founded in 2018, Futurescholé operates the LiveKlass platform, connecting knowledge creators and learners. The platform has amassed over 3 million members and more than 30,000 knowledge creators to date. The trend of creators achieving monthly sales exceeding 10 million won continues to grow, contributing to the platform's ongoing success.
